I Don’t Know Nothin’

This morning while watching Meet the Press I heard a GOP talking head say in response to a question on bank regulation that –paraphrasing here—he wasn’t an expert on banking, but he was against regulations because he was sure they wouldn’t work. It occurred to me that this could be the new motto for the Republican Party. An answer to suit all questions: “I don’t know nothin’ about it, but I’m again’ it.”

Marvelous Words

Busting Lime Star

A powerful vocabulary is a marvelous accomplishment, not something to be sneered at or derided, but to be applauded with enthusiasm. I am just a bit miffed by our fearless leader making political points by questioning his presumptive opponent’s word choice. His focus should have been on the destructive legislation that was termed as “marvelous” not the word itself.
